Disciplinary Honors in Exercise Physiology in the Undergraduate Bulletin
Curriculum Requirements
Students must complete the following requirements (equivalent of 6 credit hours), generally starting in their junior year:
- EXPH 4956H: Honors Introduction to Research in Exercise Physiology (1 cr)
- EXPH 4960H: Honors Research Seminar in Exercise Physiology (2 cr)
One of the following research options:
- Option A (preferred): 1 credit of EXPH 4957H Honors Advanced Research in Exercise Physiology and participation in the department’s Summer Research Program (verified by registration in and satisfactory completion of EXPH 9002H: Honors Student Study/Research in Exercise Physiology, a 0-credit placeholder course).
- Option B (with approval of the program Director): 3 credits of EXPH 4957H: Honors Advanced Research in Exercise Physiology
Additional Requirements
A minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA in the major is required to graduate with Disciplinary Honors in Exercise Physiology.
Eligibility and Application
Applicants to the program must have at least a 3.2 cumulative overall GPA. Most students will complete the program in their junior and senior years, and will apply for the program at the end of their sophomore year. Students in the direct-admit Physical Therapy or Athletic Training programs at Marquette will complete the program in their sophomore and junior years, and should inquire about application by the end of their freshman year. Applications are available in the office of the Program in Exercise Science, Cramer Hall 215. Any questions should be directed to the program Director.
