September 27th - September 29th, 2024


Family Weekend is an annual weekend each fall for parents and families to connect with their students, Marquette, and the city of Milwaukee. Events are open to all family members of Marquette students.

Family Weekend includes many types of activities that allow you to explore Marquette and Milwaukee! You can decide if you'd like to explore the campus scene, venture out for fun in the city, or a little of both. Many events are free and do not require advanced registration.

~A Few Family Weekend Highlights~

The Haggerty Museum of Art - Friday, September 27th, 5 p.m.

Concealed Language: A Plea for Help

A Choral Concert by The Marquette University Chorus


LOVELLSTRONG Legacy Run - Saturday, September 28th, check-in at 8 a.m.

Location:  Starts outside the Alumni Memorial Union on Eckstein Common

Don your blue and gold to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Michael R. Lovell, Marquette’s 24th president.  The 2.4 mile route takes participants through central campus to Valley Fields and back. This free walk/run is not a timed event, and the route follows sidewalks and pathways.

Check-in begins at 8 a.m. All participants are invited to enjoy a complimentary breakfast in Eckstein Common following the walk/run while food lasts, sponsored by Campus Activities Board. 

LOVELLSTRONG Legacy Run

REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW


Pancake Feed - Saturday, September 28th, 9:15 a.m.

Location: Eckstein Common (east side of AMU)

Join Campus Activities Board for breakfast as we welcome families to campus. Food will be served at 9:15 a.m. and available while supplies last. Rain site is AMU Marquette Place.


Annual Family Weekend Mass – Sunday, September 29th, 10:30 a.m.

Location: Church of the Gesu

Join us for this annual mass, celebrated with the Gesu Parish community!  With our neighbors at Gesu Parish, we offer thanks to God and receive many blessings on us and our families.  All are welcome!


Parking - structures 1 (749 N. 16th St) & 2 (1240 W. Wells Street) will be open noon on Friday, 9/27 until 4pm Sunday, 9/29
