Please join us this Saturday for a Service Day with Big Shoulders Fund, on April 29th we have the Authors Program at Union League Club with Cokie Roberts and our complimentary Breakfast Club on May 21 at Elmhurst Art Museum.

Alumni National Award Recipients

Jorge M. Garcia, Bus Ad '08, works with first-generation, college-bound youth and their families on the southwest side of Chicago to address their concerns, help find a “right-fit” university and identify bridge programs to help them transition to college.

Elizabeth D. Hall, Nurs '51, set out to ensure that many public buildings were ADA compliant, including Chicago’s McCormick Place, for which she helped architects change their building plans to accommodate people with disabilities. She also worked with former Chicago Major Jane Byrne to make city streets more wheelchair-friendly by adding curb cuts.
