Dr. Dixon Doll, University of San Francisco Trustee — Co-founder and
General Partner, DCM
For more than 35 years, Doll has influenced and guided entrepreneurs,
investors, and executives in the computer and communications
industries. Forbes Magazine listed Doll on its Midas List of top
100 venture investors for four consecutive years.
Andy Foster, MU Arts ’87 — President and COO — Advanced Fuels, Aemetis, Inc.
Foster manages Aemetis’ $180 million Advanced Fuels subsidiary, for
which scientists are focused on producing renewable chemical and
fuel substitutes for petroleum-based products. This platform helps
companies increase their brand value and operating margins while
decreasing their environmental footprint.
Eric Koester, MU Bus Ad ’99 — Co-founder and COO, Data Collateral;
Co-founder, Zaarly
After receiving early funding from actor Ashton Kutcher, Koester
left his career as a successful corporate attorney to pursue an
entrepreneurial venture and co-founded Zaarly. The online marketplace
connects individuals looking for services, goods and experiences with
local people and businesses.
Denise Zarins, MU Eng ’93, Grad ’95 — Former Director — Product Development,
Medtronic Ardian; Co-founder and Former VP — Research and Development, Ardian
Zarins has been a key player in several Silicon Valley medical
device startups. Most recently, she co-founded Ardian, Inc., which is
developing a novel catheter-based approach to treating hypertension
that has potential to help treat heart failure, insulin resistance and
chronic kidney disease.
