Five
Questions With...
Brian Brown, Arts '07
(Kirstin Mathers, Arts '17, mentee)
1. Why are you serving in the MUAA Mentor Program? The relationships I built at Marquette (both professional and personal) were formative in my development and I want to be a part of passing on that legacy!
2. What suggestions do you have for mentees? Communicate your needs--we're alumni who are happy helpers but not mind readers (unfortunately)!
3. Is there a class you wish you would’ve taken at Marquette?
Yes. A personal finance course. No one ever teaches you that stuff and it's some of the most vital information you can possess.
4. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Spending time with family and friends (many of whom I met at Marquette), checking out new restaurants, drinking coffee and running.
5. What suggestions do you have for mentees? Communicate your needs--we're alumni who are happy helpers but not mind readers (unfortunately)
Dr. Brian Brown is a licensed clinical psychologist living and working in Chicago.
