If you want the best possible preparation for getting into law school — and becoming a world-class attorney — our Pre-Law program is a perfect place to start. Because we have our own law school, we know exactly what it takes to be admitted. You'll even have an opportunity to complete your bachelor's and law degrees in six years rather than seven when you're accepted into our Pre-Law Scholars Program, which offers conditional acceptance to Marquette Law School while you’re still an undergraduate.
At Marquette, pre-law isn't technically a major. Rather, it's an intention that you plan to attend law school. That means you'll choose a related major, such as business administration, English, history, philosophy or political science, and we'll guide you along the way to ensure you're building a strong foundation for acceptance to any law school.
And Marquette’s values-based curriculum means you’ll cultivate the tools you need to not only know the law but practice it with integrity and justice.

Join Marquette's Pre-Law Society, a student-led organization that aims to assist undergraduates prepare for law school. Or our Criminology and Law Society, which allows interested students a forum to explore different professional experiences in criminology, criminal justice or law.
Undergraduates students have access to Marquette University's Law Library and can check out circulating materials (with some restrictions). Many of the Law School's social justice-focused events — like "On the Issues" — are public-facing and also open to undergraduate students.
If you’re interested in doing research as an undergrad, you’ll have plenty of chances to work with internationally respected researchers and their teams who are tackling some of society's most pressing social justice issues.
You can also find relevant research opportunities through some of the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences’ centers and institutes, such as the Center for the Advancement of the Humanities; Center for Peacemaking; Center for Urban Research, Teaching and Outreach; and The Les Aspin Center for Government.

Join our E-Lead program sophomore year and you’ll complete a combination of leadership courses and experiences that prepare you to be the drivers of innovation for the common good.
