Many of our alumni support the college's strong teaching mission by giving back to current students through our Mentor Program, Diederich Experiences or providing internship opportunities. Typically, junior communication students who are in good academic standing are eligible to participate in the Mentor Program and in Diederich Experiences.
These programs allow students to glean valuable insights from professionals like you and help them hone their networking skills.
Our alumni who have carved out successful careers for themselves in the entertainment industry in Southern California provide networking and mentor support for our current students through Marquette Entertainment & Communications Alumni (MECA). In addition to social networking events, MECA also hosts a committee of engaged and established alumni who volunteer to serve as mentors to new Marquette grads looking to pursue their career goals in Los Angeles. If you are interested in becoming a Los Angeles Mentor, check out the Los Angeles Alumni Mentor webpage for more details.
You can also follow the career paths of your fellow alumni through Alumni Spotlight. In this section, the College of Communication honors the accomplishments of its exceptional alumni who choose to "be the difference."
