We are gearing up for the National Bike Challenge Town Gown Showdown again, which will run May 1 - September 30, 2017. Please consider joining Marquette University, along with Milwaukee County, UWM, MMSD, Alverno College, MATC, and Froedtert-Medical College of Wisconsin for the 2017 Town-Gown Showdown (TGS), our 3nd-annual fierce but friendly cycling competition. During last year’s TGS, 256 employees and retirees from our workplaces cycled more than 169,000 miles from May through September and a #3 ranking among all leagues participating with the 2016 National Bike Challenge. The planning team has a grand vision to grow the TGS to include ALL Milwaukee-area local governments (the ‘Towns’), and higher education and healthcare institutions (‘Gowns’). You don’t have to be a trophy-winning cyclists to participate - all active and retired employees, as well as their families, are welcome. And, all non-stationary bicycling counts - whether for exercise, recreation, commuting, running errands, etc.

Ready to get started? Follow these instructions to join our 2017 Town-Gown Showdown team:
