Drs. Carey and Orlov Receive High Honors

At the annual Distinguished Scholars Reception held on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, Marquette University awarded its highest award for achievement in scholarship, the Lawrence G. Haggerty Award for Research Excellence, to Dr. Patrick W. Carey, holder of the William J. Kelly, S.J., Chair in Catholic Theology.

At the same reception, Dr. Andrei Orlov, Assistant Professor of Theology, was awarded one of the University’s four Way-Klingler Young Scholar Awards which provides him with an academic leave in the spring semester of 2009 to begin work on the Hermeneia volume on II Enoch which he recently contracted to do.
