Elections for University Staff Senate open in May of 2022. USS appreciates each nomination that was submitted and is eager to share this year’s ballot with campus. Questions regarding elections should be directed to Nicolle Skoien.

Serve as an elected representative

The Staff Senate convenes every third Thursday of the month at 11 a.m.

May is election time for Staff Senate and there are always several open positions available, as members serve finite terms which are staggered and subject to renewal. Please consider serving and/or nominating people who you think will effectively serve as a representative on Staff Senate. The USS is more collaborative and active than ever, including having a representative on the University Leadership Council. Be part of a group of dedicated individuals committed to assisting the staff realize our fullest potential. Please consider participating in, or nominating someone for the USS.

Serve as a subcommittee chair or member

Do you have a particular area of interest or program at Marquette that impacts staff and/or our campus that you want to create, develop or enhance? See the list of standing subcommittees and see where you may be able to contribute. You don’t need to be an elected representative to serve as a Staff Senate subcommittee chair or member, you just have to be excited and available to lead (as a chair) or volunteer (as a member) on projects that the subcommittee determines are priorities. Be a problem solver and enjoy the satisfaction of working with others to improve Marquette.

Serve our community

We are committed to developing and sustaining a compassionate, informed and diverse staff that works together to improve Marquette and our surrounding neighborhoods as well as the city of Milwaukee. If you have an idea or need assistance with a service project or other endeavor aimed at serving our community, reach out to the USS to see what we can do to support your efforts.
