The Intensive Aphasia Program treats aphasia (acquired language disorders) and related impairments (i.e., cognition, apraxia/dysarthria, social communication) due to neurological insults such as CVA (stroke) or traumatic brain injury. IAP employs evidence-based approaches utilizing neuroplastic strategies through a three-week intensive program of individualized therapy three hours per day, five days per week. This program is offered twice in the fall and spring semesters and once during the summer semester.
