With tools in hand, a dozen Marquette students spent their fall break volunteering in New Orleans. It was the fourth service trip for the student organization MARDI GRAS, which stands for Making A Real Difference In the Gulf Region and Areas Surrounding. After making the 1,000-mile drive, the students worked and lived in the city's Lower Ninth Ward, where they dry-walled a building that will serve as volunteer housing.
