The Department of Public Safety maintains a daily log that records, by the date the incident was reported, all crimes and other serious incidents occurring on campus, within non-campus buildings or properties, on public property or within the department's patrol boundaries. The daily log is available for public inspection at the department's headquarters, located at 749 N. 16th St.

The daily log includes the nature, date, time and general location of each crime reported to the department, as well as the disposition of the complaint, if the information is known at the time of publication. The department posts incidents in the Campus Crime Log within two business days of receiving a report and reserves the right to exclude reports under certain circumstances. The below listed incidents have been forwarded to the Milwaukee Police Department.

ON CAMPUS

#12-0598         Theft: Occurred between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Fri., 5/11/12; reported at 11:03 p.m. on Fri., 5/11/12.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed his property valued at $450 from his unsecured room at McCormick Hall.  MPD will be contacted by the victim.

#12-0602         Battery:  Occurred between 3:20 a.m. and 3:25 a.m. on Sat., 5/12/12; reported at 3:25 a.m. on Sat., 5/12/12.  A student reported becoming involved in an altercation with two other students in McCormick Hall.  MPD was contacted.  No injuries were reported and medical assistance was declined.

#12-0605         Vandalism:  Occurred at 1:50 a.m. on Sun., 5/13/12; reported at 2:05 a.m. on Sun., 5/13/12.  A non-MU subject vandalized university property at Campus Town West.  Damage is estimated at $250.  MPD responded and cited the subject for Vandalism.

#12-0607         Theft:  Occurred between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Sun., 5/13/12; reported at 1:31 p.m. on Sun., 5/13/12.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed her property valued at $400 from the 1600 block of W. Wells Street.  MPD assistance was declined.

#12-0608         Retail Theft:  Occurred and reported at 4:04 a.m. on Mon., 5/14/12.  A non-MU subject attempted to remove items valued at $70.69 from Open Pantry.  MPD responded and took the subject into custody. 

 

OFF CAMPUS

#12-0597         Theft:  Occurred between 10:15 p.m. and 10:22 p.m. on Fri., 5/11/12; reported at 10:22 p.m. on Fri., 5/11/12.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed his unsecured and unattended property valued at $200 from the 900 block of N. 18th Street.  The victim filed a report with MPD.

#12-0600         Disorderly Conduct:  Occurred and reported at 1:42 a.m. on Sat., 5/12/12.  A student became disorderly with DPS and MPD in the 1600 block of W. Wells Street and was cited by MPD.

#12-0603         Theft:  Occurred between 3:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Sat., 5/12/12; reported at 12:31 p.m. on Sat., 5/12/12.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed her unsecured and unattended bicycle valued at $630 from the 800 block of N. 13th Street.  MPD will be contacted.

#12-0606         OAI/Intoxicated Driver:  Occurred and reported at 2:50 a.m. on Sun., 5/13/12.  A non-MU subject was driving erratically throughout the campus area.  MPD responded and the subject was taken into custody for OWI in the 1600 block of W. Wells Street.

#12-0609         Criminal Trespass:  Occurred and reported at 4:40 a.m. on Mon., 5/14/12.  A non-MU subject was trespassing in the 800 block of N. 19th Street.  MPD responded and took the subject into custody.

#12-0593         Theft From Motor Vehicle; Occurred Thu., 5/10/12 between 2:15 p.m. and 2:50 p.m.  Reported Thu., 5/10/12 at 2:57 p.m.  A student’s mother reported that unknown person(s) removed her unsecured, unattended property est. at $700 from a vehicle in the 800 block of N. 13th Street.  MPD contacted.

#12-0594         Disorderly Conduct; Occurred Thu., 5/10/12 between 10:30 p.m. and 11:04 p.m.  Reported Thu., 5/10/12 at 11:04 p.m.  A student passenger acted in a disorderly manner in a university vehicle.

#12-0589         Criminal Trespass; Occurred Wed., 5/9/12 between 12:54 p.m. and 1:04 p.m.  Reported Wed., 5/9/12 at 1:04 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette trespassed in the Alumni Memorial Union and was cited by MPD.

#12-0591         Theft; Occurred Wed., 5/9/12 between 3:00 p.m. and 3:02 p.m.  Reported Wed., 5/9/12 at 3:10 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed his unsecured, unattended MUID in McCormick Hall.

#12-0592         Alarm Activation: Criminal Act; Occurred and reported Thu., 5/10/11 at 2:11 a.m.  A fire alarm activated for Campus Town West.  MFD was contacted and the building evacuated.  Upon investigation, it was determined that unknown person(s) activated a pull station without cause.  The alarm was reset and the building reopened.
