Tina Stoeckmann was trained in physical therapy at the University of Wisconsin - Madison graduating in 1988. Dr. Stoeckmann earned her Masters degree in Bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1999, and her Doctorate of Science degree in Neurologic Physical Therapy at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2008. Dr. Stoeckmann has been practicing as a physical therapist since 1988 and currently is a staff member of Froedtert Memorial Hospital. Her clinical expertise is in neurological rehabilitation with a special focus on traumatic brain injury. Dr. Stoeckmann partnered with the Zablocki VA to develop a neurologic residency program for licensed physical therapists, which was officially credentialed by APTA in 2010 as only the 8 neurologic residency in the country. She teaches the Cognitive and Motor Learning course in Exercise Science program and Neurologic Rehabilitation I in the spring, Neurological Rehabilitation II in the fall, and supervises the Advanced Topics Neurologic Practicum for the Neurologic Residency Program. Dr. Stoeckmann serves on the State Ethics Committee for the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association and was a member of the Southeast Regional Developmental Disabilities Ethics Committee. In addition, she has presented extensively on ethics to a variety of audiences, including therapists, biomedical engineers, research coordinators, and biomedical scientists.
