The Philosophy Department is pleased to welcome Dr. Melissa Shew to the faculty. Dr. Shew, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon, is Visiting Assistant Professor. The Department congratulates Ms. Desiree Valentine, a Philosophy major, who particpated this summer in the Philosophy in an Inclusive Key Summer Institute at Penn State University. The Philosophy Graduate Student Association has announced a theme for this year's conference: Philosophy in the 21st Century: Past Questions, Contemporary Issues.
