Philosophy's Dr. Ericka Tucker was interviewed on WUWM 89.7 about the Great Milwaukee Block Party, a series of events creating positive community events during the RNC. Dr. Owen Goldin recipient of the Way Klingler Fellowship
Marquette's Office of Research and Innovation honored Philosophy’s Dr. Owen Goldin with a Way Klingler Fellowship, recognizing him for outstanding achievement in research and scholarship. More information.

86th Annual Aquinas Lecture
The Department of Philosophy will host the 86th Aquinas Lecture with Dr. Nancy Bauer, Professor at Tufts School of Arts & Sciences, on October 11, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in AMU 157. The lecture is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required. The Annual St. Thomas Aquinas Lecture Series began at Marquette University in the spring of 1937.

Boheim Lecture by Kate Manne
Dr. Kate Manne is an associate professor of philosophy at Cornell. Her PhD is from MIT, and she served as a junior fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows. She has published three books: Down Girl: The Logic of Misogyny (2017), Entitled: How Male Privilege Hurts Women (2020), and Unshrinking: How to Face Fatphobia (2024). She will be discussing fatphobia in her Boheim Lecture at Marquette on the evening of October 30, 2024. For more information, please contact Dr. Alison Efford, Chair of AMUW Committee.

The PGSA recently hosted their annual conference The Ethics of (Un)Civil Protest. Keynote speaker was Dr. Rafael Vizcaíno,  Asst. Prof of Philosophy at DePaul University.
