The Office of Student Development announces Forward! A Leadership Workshop Series designed specifically for student organization members and officers.
Six workshops will make up the Fall Series (see below). These workshops provide a great opportunity for members and officers alike to develop important leadership skills and to learn effective approaches to managing and working with others. There are great incentives for each organization to be represented at these leadership workshops. There will be drawings for prizes at each workshop for gift certificates, publicity designs, pizza parties, and more. In addition, all participants at each workshop will be placed in a drawing at the end of the semester for cash to put toward your organization’s future activities.
Teambuilding: Create an Effective Progression of Activities to Bring Your Group Together

Join us for an interactive session that will walk you through the steps of an effective teambuilding progression and create a sequence of activities to take back to your own group. Participants will be placed in a drawing for 3 hours of teambuilding and goal setting sessions tailored to your organization’s needs. These sessions will be facilitated by highly trained student staff from the Office of Student Development. Snacks will be provided!

Jane Leu, Marquette’s first Social Entrepreneur in Residence will facilitate an engaging conversation about how to manage and retain volunteer members of your organization. Prior to working for Marquette, Kate worked for a large, private, multi-national firm as an accountant developing and managing their corporate budgets. Walk away from this workshop with a comprehensive budget for your organization or an event. Participants will be placed in a drawing for cash. Snacks will be provided!
