Marquette students start a Slow Food chapter on campus

A group of Marquette University students started a Slow Food chapter on campus this April, linking them to the international movement that promotes the pleasures of home cooking and leisurely meals, and advocates for sustainable methods of producing food.

The students created the chapter as part of the senior capstone course, Advertising and Public Relations Campaigns, in the Diederich College of Communication. The class provides real-world experience for students to apply the lessons and skills they have gained through their Marquette education.

Stories appeared in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, May 27, and the University Business Magazine’sWeb site, May 19.
