University Policy and Procedures (UPP) 1-18 delineates the requirements and guidelines for all Marquette employees who participate in travel abroad.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Note: Submit to the Office of International Education, AMU 425
To be completed by every Marquette employee participating in international travel. If students are participating, see the Short-Term Study Abroad Policies Page for the appropriate form.
Upon submission of the Foreign Travel Form 8/03 to the Office of International Education, OIE will send the traveling faculty member information on the International SOS assistance program. Faculty will receive an SOS card with emergency assistance numbers and information on how to use SOS Services.
For medical emergencies while overseas, Marquette employees are covered under Worker’s Compensation and expenses are reimbursable by Marquette. Should faculty also wish to supplement their regular health plan, they have the option of purchasing insurance through the OIE sponsored plan through Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI). Please contact OIE for details.
