The College of Nursing’s history of excellence in nursing education includes B.S.N., M.S.N., D.N.P. and Ph.D. programs with 7,000 alumni worldwide since 1946. In 2011, there were over 1000 applicants for 100 available spaces in the B.S.N. program. The student-to-faculty clinical ratio is usually 8-1. The College has agreements with over 90 agencies for student clinical experiences. Faculty work within the integrated academic life model, combining teaching and research. U.S. News & World Report ranks the College of Nursing’s graduate programs in the top 10 percent of programs nationally and the graduate midwifery program 18th overall.
