Overview
Nursing is a health profession whose central purpose is to care for individuals, families and communities. Nurses focus on psycho-social-spiritual-physical states during illness and health. Promotion of health and maintenance of wellness are goals of nursing. The outcome of nursing practice is enhanced quality of life for clients and families. At Marquette the dynamic nature of nursing's impact on people's lives is emphasized.
The College of Nursing is housed in Emory T. Clark Hall, on the west side of the Marquette campus. The 46,000 square-foot building includes office, classroom and laboratory space, including a Learning Resources Center containing computers, practice models and simulation equipment to support the instructional and research activities of the College of Nursing.
The College's location is directly across from the Helfaer Tennis & Recreation Center and within a very short walking distance of both Raynor Memorial Libraries and Information Technology Services.
