Hometown: St. Charles, Ill. Major: Finance. What’s next: Move to New York to work for Bank of America. Ambition: “I am just playing it by ear, taking it one step at a time.” Extracurriculars/hobbies: Cooking and running. (He just ran a marathon in Stockholm.) “I guess the running allows me to partake in my other hobby, cooking.” What he’s most proud of: “I am most proud of my academic accomplishments. I have had to sacrifice a lot to accomplish my goals, but in the end it has paid off.” Hidden talent: “I can crack my knuckles on command — and almost every other part of my body.” Guilty pleasure: “I love going out to eat with my friends. One of the things that most people don’t realize about Milwaukee is that there are tons of amazing and diverse restaurants in the city.” Favorite class: Applied Investment Management. “The AIM program has allowed me to take what I have learned in the classroom and apply it to the real world. This hands-on experience has made it like no other class I have taken.” Least favorite class: Financial Derivatives. “I have never had a trader’s mentality so learning different trading strategies using financial derivatives was a bit dry and boring.” Favorite professor: Dr. David Krause. “He has been an amazing mentor, not only to me but the rest of my classmates.” Marquette’s impact: “My four years at Marquette have made me the person I am today. My professors helped to instill in me a great work ethic and the moral fiber to be a leader.” Favorite campus hangout: “Although this is going to make me seem like a giant nerd, I have grown quite fond of the AIM room in David Straz. …when you spend almost every minute of the last two years in the room, you have a great appreciation for it.” What he won’t miss: “Homework!”
