First choice
Marquette was my No. 1 choice out of all the schools I applied to, but I got Marquette’s letter last. I was ready to pack my bags and be on my way. I chose this school because of its prestige, location and the comfortable feeling that it was a home away from home.

It’s a family affair
I want to soak up all the knowledge and fun I can manage. Of course, I am looking forward to basketball season as the highlight of the year. My dad already has his Marquette gear, and he is just as excited about college as I am. My twin sister, Antoinette, is my roommate, and we’re staying in McCormick. She is my other half so rooming with her is pretty nice.

Getting a head start
The Educational Opportunity Program helped me tremendously with my transition into
college. Because we lived on campus for five weeks and took Marquette classes, I have a better understanding of the campus in general but most importantly of what’s expected of me now. Also,
EOP provided opportunities to meet some of the most caring people I know. We had fun hanging out
on campus, and we also learned how to depend on one another with our late-night study groups preparing for exams.
Find myself here
My greatest expectation is to do well here at Marquette and end with a better sense of who I am and what I plan to do with the rest of my life. I plan to live the Marquette motto BE THE DIFFERENCE by studying hard and following my father’s advice that “everything comes in moderation.“
