  • Chempedia
    A wiki chemistry encyclopedia
  • Chemrefer
Search engine designed to allow students, academics, chemical and pharmaceutical companies access to full-text free chemistry literature available on the internet
  • ChemSpy
Portal for chemical searching and chemical databases, offering a one-stop shopping for chemistry professionals, including scientists, engineers, students and anyone else interested in finding chemical industry information
  • Chmoogle
Chmoogle searches the Internet for chemistry-related information — more specifically, information about molecules.  You can draw a molecule or perform text-based searching using SMILES.  Chemical elements can be searched by enclosing them in brackets, e.g., [Au]. Searches can be limited to commercially available articles.
  • Classic Chemistry
Includes selected classic papers from the history of chemistry, arranged in categories. The papers originally published in a foreign language are here translated into English. Provides also a glossary of archaic chemical terms, links to related Internet resources, and courses in chemistry.millions of molecules from across the Web and from chemical suppliers worldwide.
  • eMolecules Chemical Search
Draw a chemical structure with a molecule editor, then click "Go", and instantly search
  • Martindale’s The ‘virtual’ Chemistry Center
  • The WWW Virtual Library:  Links for Chemists
Includes links to departments of chemistry at selected universities and colleges worldwide.

Teaching & Learning Resources

  • 3D Organic Chemistry Animations
Created by Nick Greeves and Alex Lawrenson of the University of Liverpool, these animations cover cycloadditions, conjugate addition, and twelve other areas of organic chemistry. Visitors can scroll through the list of animations on the left-hand side of the homepage, or they can use the embedded search engine. A set of controls allows users the ability to manipulate the animations for a better view and they can also remove and show various hydrogen atoms.
  • Chemical Education Resource Shelf
Provides chemistry educators with various teaching resources. Produced under the auspices of the Journal of Chemical Education Online.
  • ChemTutor
Topics include reactions, atomic structure, elements, and solutions. Content includes sample problems, diagrams, and so on.
  • Interactives: The Periodic Table beginner level
  • The World of Chemistry
"A video instructional series for college and high school classrooms and adult learners; 26 half-hour video programs and coordinated books"
