Responsibilities: I provide general reference service and library resources instruction.  I am the liaison librarian to the Departments of Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences,  Chemistry and Mathematics, Statistics & Computer Science and to the School of Dentistry.  This involves purchasing materials, providing research assistance and instructing students in research methods.  I also select materials in the areas of bioethics and bioinformatics.  As a member of the Collection Development Advisory Committee, I assist in evaluating expenditures for new journal subscriptions, databases, etc.  I'm also member of the Scholarly Communication Working Group and am active in promoting open access and providing training on the NIH Public Access Policy.
