7th Annual International Poetry Reading
@ the Libraries

April 2009--Join the Marquette Libraries' celebration of National Poetry Month.  Raynor Memorial Libraries are co-sponsoring an international poetry reading with the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and the Office of International Education.

April 1 (Wednesday)
11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Raynor Library Conference Center Beaumier Suites B-C

ALL ARE WELCOME -- The reading is open to all Marquette students, faculty and staff.  Poetry lovers will read their favorite poems from other languages; or poets may read their own non-English poetry.  Feel free to drop in, bring a bag lunch, listen, and enjoy.  Light refreshments will also be available.

Celebrate our diversity through poetry--last year's readings included native speakers and students of Spanish, Ancient Greek, Latin, Italian, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Sicilian, Chinese, and more!

Interested readers should contact Dr. Jason Meyler, Assistant Professor of Spanish, to schedule a time to read in advance and plan to bring printed text in the original language, as well as an English translation. You need not read or register to attend the session.
