Digitized Images from the Collections
The University Archives preserves and provides access to nearly 100,000 historic
images. Staff are scanning some of the most frequently requested images. New
images will be added on a regular basis, yet this digitized sampler represents only 10% of
the photo collection. Descriptive inventories for the other photographic collections
are available online. See

University People (UNIV A-4.5, Series 9-Digitized): Images from our
biographical files, featuring Marquette University presidents, administrators, faculty, alumni, and
University History (UNIV A-4.5, Series 10-Digitized): Images from our
photographs and general information files, featuring campus places, student activities, and recent
University History--Oversize Materials (UNIV A-4.5, Series 11-Digitized):
Images from our collection of oversize materials. This selection features images of basketball,
1926-1940; football, 1895-1957; track, 1929-1940; and hockey, 1923-1930.
Photographs (UNIV B-2.23, Series 7): Images of basketball, football, track,
and hockey, among other sports, largely from the mid-1930s through the 1950s.
Nursing Scrapbooks and Photographs (UNIV C-6, Series 3.2): Images of
students and faculty from the College of Nursing (1937-1948) and its predecessor institutions, St.
Joseph's Hospital Training School for Nurses (1901-1930) and St. Joseph's School of Nursing
