Position Description:
The person in this position will provide assistance in managing, imaging, replacing Windows and Mac desktops and supporting/troubleshooting a wide variety of desktop applications and PC peripherals. This position offers a variety of skill enhancement opportunities as well as experience in a fast-paced, user-focused IT setting.

Job Duties:

  1. Assists in replacing, imaging new PCs and Macs.
  2. Provides Tier 1 support for the Library Staff Help Line creating call tracking reports as needed.
  3. Assists IT staff in documenting procedures.


  1. Experience with Windows 7 including:
    1. Installing applications, printers and other peripherals
    2. Basic understanding of Windows networking and Internet connectivity issues
    3. Basic troubleshooting understanding
  2. Experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications including ability to troubleshoot basic formatting and functionality issues
  3. Detail-oriented
  4. Good communication skills
  5. Ability to occasionally lift moderately heavy equipment (usually 10-20 lbs., but up to 50 lbs.)

  1. Basic understanding of PC lifecycle management
  2. Mac OS familiarity
