Tim M. Bergstrom, Bus Ad ’99, was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2016.
He is the president and chief operating officer of Bergstrom Automotive, headquartered in Neenah, Wis. His responsibilities include the day-to-day oversight of all operations.
Bergstrom Automotive is one of the top 50 largest automotive groups in the United States, with sales in excess of $1 billion, and employs more than 1,600 people throughout the state of Wisconsin. The company owns and operates 32 automotive locations, representing all major brands sold in the United States. Bergstrom Automotive is the only U.S. company that has been awarded franchises by all volume automotive manufacturers.

Tim is a cum laude graduate of Marquette University’s College of Business Administration. He has completed the National Automotive Dealers Association Dealer Leadership Program. Prior to his current job responsibilities, he spent 15 years in management positions in service, parts, body shop, and sales operations.
Tim is a board member of the ThedaCare Hospital System and is chair of the executive committee of the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center–Neenah Foundation. He is immediate past chair of the board of the United Way Fox Cities and currently is on the board of Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. He is also a board member of the National Dealer Council for Lexus USA and presidential appointee of BMW North America Dealer Board.
Tim and his wife, Natalie, have three children. They reside in Neenah, Wis. and are members of the Marquette University President’s Society.
