Assistant Dean

Michelle Schuh received a bachelor of science degree in physical therapy from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1987 and began her professional career in Milwaukee, specializing in inpatient rehabilitation. In 1998, she completed her master of science degree in human kinetics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Michelle's career at Marquette University began in 1997 as a clinical faculty member in the Department of Physical Therapy. In 2006, she was appointed assistant dean in the College of Health Sciences. As the assistant dean, Schuh oversees the curriculum and student degree progress/completion for all students in the various undergraduate and professional programs offered by the college. In 2014, she served as co-chair of the Federal Compliance committee for the university’s Higher Learning Commission re-accreditation process. She currently serves as the CHS representative on several university-wide committees including the Transfer Advisory Group, Committee on Academic Procedures, and the OIE Faculty Advisory Committee.

Throughout her career at Marquette, Schuh has also been extensively involved in the development of short-term international experiences for MU students, faculty and alumni. Since 2000, she has organized and led service trips to El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama and Nicaragua. She currently serves as a faculty advisor for the Global Brigades service organization offered through the College of Health Sciences.
