Make an outright gift or multiyear pledge
You can make a gift of cash, securities, real estate or personal property to the museum. Such gifts may be unrestricted, and therefore directed to the highest priorities of the museum, or they may be earmarked for an exhibition, a publication, an educational program or our art purchase fund. If you wish, gifts may be made in honor of or in memory of a special friend or relative. For more information, contact Sheila Taphorn at 414.288.8486, or you can make your gift online at www.marquette.edu/giveonline. From the drop-down menu, choose Haggerty Museum of Art for your gift designation.
Facilitate a matching gift
If your place of employment has a matching gift program, you can potentially double your gift(s) to the Haggerty Museum of Art, including some membership contributions. Check with your company’s human resources office for a matching gift form. If you are unsure whether your employer will match your gift, you may inquire using our online search tool at www.marquette.edu/giving/matching.shtml.
Donate a work of art
If you are a collector or own a significant work of art that you would be interested in donating or bequeathing to the museum, please contact the director at 414.288.1669.
Include the museum in your deferred giving plans
You may designate the museum as a beneficiary of your estate, retirement account, life insurance policy or other deferred giving plan, such as a gift annuity or charitable remainder trust. While it is essential to consult your attorney or tax advisor before creating a will or charitable trust, Marquette University’s planned giving professionals are always available to talk with you about your plan. Please visit Marquette’s Planned Giving Office website at marquette.edu/giving/plannedgiving.shtml if you would like more information or call 414.288.6501 to discuss giving options best suited to meet your goals.
Marquette University promptly acknowledges all financial contributions to the museum, which are in fact donations to the university.
