The Friends of the Haggerty Museum of Art aim to provide significant annual financial support for exhibitions and programs and increase the visibility of the museum on Marquette's campus, in Milwaukee, and to alumni and friends locally, regionally and beyond.
The Friends support the museum by raising funds through memberships; the Fall Gala and Spring Benefit events; art tours; and individual gifts, including endowments, bequests and gifts of art.
When you join the Friends of the Haggerty, you will enjoy several benefits, including invitations to exhibition openings, Haggerty 101 behind-the-scenes tours, gallery talks, lectures, workshops, art tours, discounts on museum purchases and a subscription to the museum’s newsletter.
The Friends are actively engaged in the life of the Haggerty through their efforts to raise funds and increase the museum's awareness. They also participate in the museum’s educational mission as volunteer docents by providing free tours of the museum and as travel committee members planning tours to national and international art destinations.
The Haggerty Art Associates, the young professional Friends group, offers a winter cocktail party; a spring family art event; and Art 101, an introduction to art and art collecting.
