The Haggerty highlights select religious paintings from the sixteenth century through to the mid-twentieth century in The Sacred Made Real. Many of the museum’s finest examples of European art are on display in this permanent collection exhibition. Old Masters paintings in the exhibition include Mostaert‘s Entry of Christ into Jerusalem and The Mystic Marriage of St. Catherine of Alexandria by an artist in the circle of Lorenzo Sabatini. Also featured in this exhibition are two paintings by the Italian master Francesco Trevisani and Salvador Dalí’s Madonna of Port Lligat, 1949.
