Marquette is unique in its commitment to involve undergraduate students in research opportunities. In fact, many undergraduates enroll at Marquette precisely because they know they'll have the chance to work alongside world-class researchers on meaningful projects.
The end result is impressive — Marquette has been ranked in the top 10 percent of institutions whose undergraduates go on to complete doctorate degrees.
More Marquette faculty applied for federal grants last year, and externally funded research requests exceeded $28 million for the first time. Still, the university continues to create incentives to draw the best faculty and students to the university so that these leaders not only flourish in their own right but, in so doing, also set a higher standard of excellence against which all faculty are measured. Donor support helps fund research grants and fellowships while providing the necessary resources to attract and retain the very best faculty.
