Director, Regional Engagement

The Director, Regional Engagement will serve as a working manager overseeing a team of officers executing programs that will retain and engage positive relationships with Marquette alumni, parents and friends.  Specific responsibilities include working hand-in-hand with the College of Business Administration's alumni and volunteer leaders to plan programs and fundraise for their initiatives; executing and growing CIRCLES networking programs in Milwaukee and outstate Wisconsin; and building relationships around our workplace affinity program.  In terms of management, this position will lead a team that covers Advancement's engagement efforts in the West, Southwest, East and Southeast.  This role will work collaboratively to increase alumni participation and giving through marketing efforts, strategic planning and event coordination.  The successful candidate will manage four to five employees; increase volunteer involvement with CIRCLES; elevate Marquette's presence in the local community; oversee, manage and plan meaningful programs with the College of Business Administration; recruit and retain volunteer leaders across programs; forecast events and track budgetary needs; attend committee and board meetings; implement marketing and communication plans; staff and assist with on campus alumni events; foster and maintain productive relationships with all areas of University Advancement and departments across campus.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with proven ability to motivate large, diverse groups and manage staff.  Candidate will have strong written, verbal, and volunteer management skills, the ability to problem-solve, multi-task and work in a very fast paced environment.  Evening and weekend hours and some travel required.  Previous experience in a non-profit environment, specifically planning of events and working with volunteers is regarded highly and previous management and fundraising experience is a plus.
