The class registration process is fairly painless. The resources below will guide you through the registration process. It's important to read the Advising Guide thoroughly in advance of your registration appointment time so that you are prepared for a successful registration experience. Registration takes place online and is accessed through your CheckMarq account. Be sure that your CheckMarq/eMarq username and password are handy and that you can log in to your account.

Registration Questions? Contact the advising contact for your college as listed in the Registration Advising Guide.

CheckMarq/eMarq access issues? Call the IT Services TechSquad at (414) 288-7799.

Registration Advising Guide

Download the Registration Advising Guide or refer to the copy provided to you at SPARK or by your college.

Thoroughly read this guide! It provides great information about finding your appointment time, guidance on your first semester courses, information about how AP, IB, and college courses may affect your registration, and a guide to find the complete four-year curriculum for all majors and programs in the Undergraduate Bulletin.

CheckMarq Video Guidance

We've prepared some videos to provide guidance to using CheckMarq for course registration. We recommend watching the videos below:

Placement Exams

By now you should have completed the foreign language placement exam (not all students need to complete the exam) so that the results appear in your CheckMarq account. Visit marquette.edu/languages-literatures-cultures/ for details.

AP, IB, College Credit

Be sure to submit all of your AP and IB scores, and any college transcripts for credit evaluation as soon as possible. Refer to the Instructions for Admitted Students for details.

Next Step Forms

Complete all required next step forms in your CheckMarq account. You will be locked out of registration until your forms have been submitted! Refer to the Instructions for Admitted Students for instructions.
