Material Science and Technology Center

The Materials Science and Technology Center (MSTC) was formally established in 1987 to address nationally promising cross-disciplinary research problems. The academic core for the Center was encompasses research faculty from all of the engineering disciplines, the physical sciences, and Dental Materials.  The unifying intellectual theme of MSTC research is the characterization of the electrical and mechanical properties of materials.  The scope of the Center is broad enough to permit changes in focus as new technological developments emerged.  The Center is a valuable contact point for industry, research agencies, and other institutions to link up with the faculty talent, information base, and equipment which exists within Wisconsin’s largest private university.
