Findings from a new report highlighting the conditions facing most Milwaukee students reveal that:
The report is the first product of an effort aimed at drawing together major players in the city's education, business and nonprofit scenes to work across sectors and improve outcomes for all the city's children. Known as Milwaukee Succeeds, the organization, housed within the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, released its first milestone report this month.
The report identifies goals and offers areas where the community needs to focus to ensure all children across school sectors are supported from "cradle to career," regardless of social and economic factors.
