EDPL Faculty Member Appointed as Chair of the Literacy Research Association (LRA) Student Outstanding Research Award Committee

Dr. Doris Walker-Dalhouse, Professor in the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership in the College of Education has been appointed to a three-year term as Chair of the Literacy Research Association (LRA) Student Outstanding Research Award Committee. 

The award was initiated in 1985 to honor excellent student-authored research, that may or may not be based upon his or her dissertation, and to increase student participation in the annual LRA conference.

The Literacy Research Association (LRA) is a community of scholars dedicated to promoting research that enriches the knowledge, understanding, and development of lifespan literacies in a multicultural and multilingual world. LRA is committed to ethical research that is rigorous, methodologically diverse, and socially responsible. LRA is dedicated to disseminating such research broadly so as to promote generative theories, informed practices and sound policies. Central to its mission, LRA mentors and supports future generations of literacy scholars.
