Dr. Peggy Bloom appointed to Board of Directors of the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE)

Dr. Peggy Bloom, Professor Emeritus, Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology has been appointed for a 5 year term (2015-2020) on the Board of Directors of the Center for Credentialing and Education, a nonprofit affiliate of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).

The five member Board of Directors set policy and direct the operations of the CCE which provides assessments, business support services and credentialing to counseling and related practitioners and organizations in the United States and 16 other countries.  Most familiar are the National Counselor Examination for Licensure and Certification (NCE) and the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) used for licensure by all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Guam and the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (CPCE) used by Marquette and many other university masters’ degree counseling programs to assess student learning.

Created in 1995 as an affiliate of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), CCE credentials more than 25,000 practitioners globally in a variety of fields.
