Assistant Director of External Relations, Communications, & Recruitment
Lori Fredrich is a writer, wonderer, bon vivante, traveler, cook, gardener, blogger, and girlwonder. Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, she has tried to leave many times, but seems to be drawn to this quirky city that smells of beer and alewives.
Lori came to Marquette University in 2000, after earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in English and humanistic studies and studying classics at the University of Iowa. Impressed with her knowledge of dead languages, the College of Education adopted her and she has been a fixture ever since.
During her tenure in the College, Lori has worn many hats. Most recently, her work focuses on managing communications and recruitment activities for the College. She is involved in a myriad of writing projects -- for both print and Web -- and she has spear-headed a variety of marketing and recruitment initiatives. In her spare time, Lori develops printed materials, manages the College of Education's social media, writes news articles and blog posts, and edits the Mission Matters magazine.
