MARQ Your Path is a program for students with disabilities at Marquette University. Designed to promote academic excellence, the program provides a variety of resources and services to participants throughout their undergraduate career. As a community focused on supporting each participant’s unique goals, MARQ Your Path provides individualized academic and personal development opportunities for students.
MARQ Your Path is a federal TRIO Student Support Services Program. Funded by the Department of Education, TRIO SSS programs provide services that promote academic success in postsecondary education settings. The goal of SSS is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants. For more information about the TRIO SSS programs and eligibility for them, visit ed.gov/programs/triostudsupp/index.html.
*Please note, MARQ Your Path is a grant funded program and we are still waiting for confirmation of funding for the 2015-2016 academic year. We are confident in the program’s future and encourage you to contact us if you have any questions.
Services begin when participants come to campus for Orientation with the MARQ Your Path Summer Bridge Program, a series of events introducing participants to the program and the greater Marquette community. New participants will also have the opportunity to participate in the Peer Mentor Program, established to provide additional support during participants’ transition to college. During the duration of their undergraduate career, participants will then have required individual academic advising and be able to participate in programming addressing topics including financial literacy and academic support skills. As students begin to think about their life after college, they will also have the option to access post-baccalaureate advising.
