Include the following materials with this application for the workshop:

  1. An official transcript or copy of latest grades
  2. A letter of recommendation from a school counselor, teacher, or community leader: Neither should be written by someone related to the applicant
  3. Completed DPI application if you receive free or reduced lunch
  4. A typed essay, at least 150 words, but no more than 200 words, explaining your interest in the workshop
  5. Two writing samples (news stories, term papers, or short stories)
