Sign Up for a Interfatith Campus Renew Small Group - ICaRe

Do you care about community, faith, and service? Are you Looking to become alive in your faith by sharing it with others, develop friendships while being exposed to diverse perspectives, and exploring commonalities between faiths while learning how to better live as a woman or man for others? Then you should join Interfaith Campus Renew (ICaRe).

ICaRe participants meet weekly for one hour with 8-12 other students in a small group environment. Over the course of a semester, students work to build a strong community through laughter and fun, prayer, service, faith discussions, and sharing of life experiences.

What is Interfaith Campus Renew (ICaRe)?

An interfaith community or small group experience open to all students. For the first time, Campus Ministry will be offering an interfaith campus renew experience aimed at allowing students to strengthen their individual faiths, in whichever tradition they belong to, while learning about the faith traditions of their fellow Marquette students. This group will provide an open environment for students to learn how to dialogue with people of diverse faith backgrounds by focusing on shared values and engaging in service together. Students will learn how to become their best selves.

How does it work?

Students who are interested in becoming a part of ICaRe can contact Steve Blaha, assistant director of Campus Ministry. Each week the group gathers for one hour for what some have called “the best hour of my week.”

Who can participate?

Any Marquette student.

Where will ICaRe meet?

ICaRe will usually meet in the Alumni Memorial Union in the Interfaith Prayer Room. After you have signed-up, you will receive an email prior to your first meeting with the exact time and location of the meeting.

When does ICaRe meet?

Historically groups have chosen to meet on an evening falling between Sunday through Thursday. After the group has been formed, the exact day of the week and time for the meetings will be selected based on everyone’s schedule.
