The Center for Gender and Sexualities Studies provides a bridge space supporting scholarly work and the lived experience of gender and sexualities.
In fall 2017, the Gender and Sexualities Studies program was relaunched with a new curriculum. But the study of women and gender has a long history at Marquette, dating from the early 1980s when the grass-roots women's faculty group ALPHA lobbied for and won Marquette's first program in Women's Studies -- the point of origin for the rich and varied network of research and teaching about women, gender, and sexuality at Marquette today.
Currently, the INGS major can be either a primary or a secondary major. 30 credit hours are required:
18 credit hours are required, including INGS 1001 with courses distributed among at least three disciplines.
2. Have Dr. Angelique Harris, director of gender and sexualities studies, sign the form.
3. Please turn in the signed form into the records office for your primary college office. The records office for Arts & Sciences is located in Sensenbrenner Hall, G-004.
