Professor Emeritus of Accounting

Dr. Giacomino is a Professor Emeritus of Accounting and a former Donald F. Flynn and Beverly L. Flynn Chair in Accounting in the College of Business Administration at Marquette University. He joined Marquette University in 1977 after serving as a faculty member at the University of Kentucky, the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and the University of Montana. At Marquette, he served a one-year term as Interim Dean of the College of Business Administration and he served as chairman of the Department of Accounting from 1986 to 2004.

Dr. Giacomino has served as Visiting Professor (1984-1985) with Boston University in Europe. He taught in the CPA Review of Wisconsin for 18 years and he has provided expert testimony as a court referee on legal cases. Giacomino has authored a textbook and over 50 refereed articles in academic and professional journals.

He served for 15 years as an accreditation reviewer for the AACSCB the International Association for Management Education. Dr. Giacomino has professional experience in: Internal auditing (Kennecott Copper), public accounting (Douglas Wilson & Co.), consumer finance (Household International), and expert testimony as a court referee on legal cases.
