The Les Aspin Center for Government programs

From Milwaukee to Washington, D.C., to Africa, the Les Aspin Center gives students studying any discipline from any college the unique opportunity to gain insight into the challenges and rewards of public service. Whether students choose a semester, summer or study abroad program, they will work in federal agencies and congressional offices or with African leaders to get an insider's perspective of public policy and democracy — an invaluable lesson in today's global world.

The Les Aspin Center is also known for its community outreach and spiritual development components. In fact, its Washington, D.C., internships are considered some of the leading programs on Capitol Hill. Interns frequently participate in group exercises, giving them the opportunity to share insight about their experiences.
