Jones-Lococo wedding

Joseph W. Lococo, Bus Ad ’04, was married to Lindsey Jones on Aug. 13, 2011. Many Marquette alumni were in attendance, from the Class of ’78 to the Class of ’07.

Lisa Paczkowski and Patrick DeForsThis Halloween, Lisa Paczkowski, Bus Ad ’06, and fiancé Patrick DeFors, Bus Ad ’06, celebrated their school pride with an MU pumpkin. The couple recently moved from Milwaukee to Chicago.

Peter Polverini

Peter Polverini, D.D.S., D.M.Sc., Arts ’69, Dent ’73, has been elected to the Institute of Medicine. IOM advises members of Congress, Congressional staff and agency leaders on a range of health care issues. Polverini is professor of dentistry and dean, University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and professor of pathology, University of Michigan Medical School.

Delta Dental donates lead gift for School of Dentistry expansion
Delta Dental of Wisconsin has donated $2 million to the Marquette University School of Dentistry’s Building for the Future campaign for a planned expansion to the school. When the expansion is complete, the school will add enough clinical, lab and classroom space to accommodate classes of 100 students each year, up 20 from the current class size. Learn more.

Honorary degree recipient receives Nobel Peace Prize
Five years ago, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, president of the Republic of Liberia, received an honorary degree from Marquette. Now we celebrate her 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. Read how she gave the gift of Marquette education to a student from Liberia.

Alumni are invited to enter Marquette’s 2012 business plan competition. For 10 years, Marquette’s Business Plan Competition has spawned hundreds of business plans and many entrants have started successful enterprises. Learn more.

Marquette Law School launches 2012 political polling project

The Marquette University Law School will sponsor the largest independent polling project in state history during the 2012 election season. Monthly polls will measure voter attitudes toward elections. Story aired on WISN-TV (ABC 12), Nov. 6, 2011
