John J. Stollenwerk Vice Chair of the Marquette Board

John J. Stollenwerk, Sp ’62, Grad ’66, was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 1991 and was elected vice chair in 2006.

He is the chairman of Allen-Edmonds Shoe Corp. and Agricol Empreedimentos Mineiro, Ltd. (Brazil). He is a member of the Wisconsin President’s Association and the Wisconsin Association of Manufacturers and Commerce.

He has received many awards, including the Marquette University Outstanding Speech Alumnus and Alumni Association Merit Awards, the Wisconsin Small Business Person of the Year Award and the Harvard Business Club Man of the Year Award.

He serves as a director for Northwestern Mutual, Badger Meter, Inc., Koss Corp., and Thomas Moser Cabinetmakers.

He has volunteered for a number of organizations, including Partners Advancing Values in Education, Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, the United Performing Arts Fund, YMCA and United Way of Greater Milwaukee.

In 2005 he was named Marquette University Alumnus of the Year. He is a member of the Marquette University Archbishop Henni Society.
