Take advantage of extracurricular activities to develop professional connections and lifelong friendships. There are nearly 250 organizations on campus at Marquette. Here are those available through the Diederich College of Communication:
Advertising Club
The Marquette University Advertising Club seeks to promote a better understanding of the functions of advertising, sales promotion and marketing communication; to stimulate and encourage advertising professionalism through education; to promote career possibilities in advertising; to apply the skills, creativity and energy of advertising in helping to solve social problems; and to promote fellowship and the free exchange of ideas.

Lambda Pi Eta
Lambda Pi Eta is an honors society, sponsored by the National Communication Association, for outstanding full-time undergraduate students in the Diederich College of Communication. You must achieve a 3.250 grade point average in any major or minor within the college, as well as a 3.000 overall GPA at Marquette University. Benefits include the possibility of participating or attending a yearly regional undergraduate convention and the annual National Communication Association conference. In addition to being an honor society, members regularly volunteer for service activities in and around Marquette University, such as the Community Day of Service.

Marquette Filmmakers Association
Marquette Filmmakers Association is a student-led organization to help better prepare students interesting in working in the film industry and provide students opportunities in directing, producing, acting, scriptwriting, editing, designing, lighting, and sound design. Students would be able to submit their work to film festivals while also participating in club activities like Pitch Night and 24hr Film Race.

Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)
The Marquette University Public Relations Student Society of America chapter provides students with the professional guidance offered by the Wisconsin Chapter of PRSSA. As a PRSSA member, you can connect with public relations professionals through chapter field trips and PRSSA functions.

Kappa Tau Alpha
The Marquette chapter of Kappa Tau Alpha, the national honor society for journalism and mass communication, was established in 1929. Undergraduate students majoring in journalism and mass communication who are in the upper 10 percent scholastically in their junior or senior year are eligible for membership. Graduate students who are in the upper 10 percent scholastically and have completed 12 hours in journalism or mass communication are also eligible. Appointments are made annually.

Marquette University Players Society (MUPS)
The Marquette University Players present four productions a year at the Evan P. and Marion Helfaer Theatre. Students from across campus are invited to work as actors, stage managers, designers, technicians and box office and publicity personnel. The Players also present a children's show for more than 12,000 grade schoolers annually, along with a full season of studio and workshop productions, completely produced and directed by students.
